In early 2000, Ford Marketing (UK) decided there was a requirement for a number of limited edition ST200's to be marketed for the UK. Since 1999, ST200's for the UK were only available in hatchback and estate form. The decision went ahead and 300 special models were produced during July 2000. These started arriving into the UK from August that year, came in Saloon form, and had additional full blue/black leather Recaro interior, matching blue kevlar interior trim and LE badging. You will find them registered on late W, X (September 2000 to March 2001) and Y (March 2001 onwards) plates.
